I went to work on Falling Glory, and it wouldn’t let me save. It gets stuck on this screen:
Do you know what’s going on? Thanks!
Sure! Will do.
I don’t know if this is along the same thing but I have constantly run into the problem of it not being able to save. I can get it sometimes but it’s like a gamble. Progress goes extremely slow cause I have to constantly re-make the scenes because the only way to get it to start saving again is after re-loading the page.
Heh, I feel like this is already on your radar and I think you and Aura may have been talking about it?
Anyway, I hope it is solvable.
Thanks for your hard work.
When saving the message I get is:
htmlException: cannot represent an object of!<tag:yaml.org,2002:str> type at yaml.Renderer#detectType (444)
Another message I’ve gotten where it won’t save my game:
yams.YamlException: unacceptabe kind of an object to dump (null) at yams.Renderer#writeNode (501)
I found that it will always save the first time. It use to save a second time too but now it doesn’t. I figured out the pattern to save then reload the page and could make a lot of progress that way and continue saving. Just have to reload the page right after.
It’s funny but it works.
Now it looks like it won’t save anytime a new scene is added.
(Just an update)
I put a version online with better logging for this issue.
Mystify, can you try to let it fail again? Then I can investigate further.
Fail again? Do you want me to log on and try to save a scene again?
Yeah, no prob. Does that show you something in the log?
I went ahead and did it.
Thanks for listening and working with your users. It’s really cool that you keep up with these things the way you do!
Oh, yeah. I can do that.
Huh, yeah it worked.
Guess it is just safari.
Okay then. (^_^)
It’s working perfectly now on chrome actually.
Ok, good to know you can continue now :).
I think I found a way on how to solve it. So it’s possible I will ask you in the near future to test again. You will not be the only person who will run into this.
Yeah, no problem.
It works perfectly on chrome.
I have been able to save multiple times now without problems.
Can you test again in Safari? It should work now, and should save way faster for everyone.
