Leviathan and other Giant Monsters

    Thank you!  A big part of the fun of RPGP for me is seeing what I can push the engine to achieve.  Like a poem, if there are limits to the form that you can produce, the challenge of the constraints becomes an inspiration.

    The short version is, you use interface text and an NPC with its bottom half covered by the shadows from REFMAP buildings.

    To advance the text, you have the hero, a health potion, and an enemy hidden under more shadows.  When the hero hits the enemy, a counter goes up and the text changes, and the health potion becomes active on each hit, so that the transition sounds somewhat more like a ring than a swinging sword.  And, the NPC head changes accordingly with who is speaking.

    …And it works worse on mobile, lol.  Well, things to look into for next time.  🙂
