I’m wondering if I can take an NPC and then have it become hostile to the Hero without it “polymorphing.” So, for example, have one of the bunny people talk to the Hero, then after the dialog, attack the Hero and be slain?
Yes. First add one of the monsters that has the behavior of the attack. Next change it’s appearance to the bunny. Then you can disable the attack behavior (for starting), and enable talk.
npc(whatever number it is) alignment becomes “evil”
I didn’t mention that you need an NPC with the alignment ability. Soldiers and monsters have it. The bunny NPC’s do not. You need to replace the Bunny with a soldier then use a switch to change the soldier’s appearance to the Bunny.
