You can use either pillars or a large board for the gallows bottom. You also can combine them, like you did in your screenshot. However, then you need to draw impassable floor tiles right underneath the board. After you draw this, place the board just above it, so that we cannot see the impassable bottom below it anymore.
If the board would be impassable by default, we cannot use it alone for the gallows bottom anymore.
