So I am working with character and can’t get them to give choices for both choices. I will link a picture

in case something is wrong with her code.

You should indent the code when doing if’s and cases:

if hero has token "Knows Mat"
    Matilda gives choices for "Did you check it out?"
    in case "Yes. He is Gone"
        Matilda says "Oh dear. Well ..."
        hero receives token "5 gold m"
    in case "No. I have not"
        Matilda says "Then no payment"
