Yay, you finished part V! I really liked the setting, one suggestion I have is to maybe make more things intractable, like little hints and foreshadowing about our identity! :>
One reason for not many intractable objects is the province is supposed to be abandoned for the most part. I want to do something with the room with the coffins in the full game. I am going to add a bonus level. But I am not sure what to do with the room. Any ideas?
Most of the hints are in parts II and III. In Part II during the festival there is a woman singing. If you can stand in front of her, you can see her song. The song is meant to be a hint. Also, in Part III the first time you meet the forest sage, you hear her muttering to herself. That hint is mainly tied to the location you wake at. I am also planning to add a hint in Part IV in the full game. Most edits go to that version and not the seperate parts. Thank you for the suggestion! I will see what I can do.
No problem! For the coffins, maybe you could make them interactable so that together they give you a password to the bonus level! As for the room, maybe you could put some kind of secret boss in there, and when you defeat it, the player gets some kind of reward, or maybe it could be the special tomb of tribe chief. Whatever you decide to do, I’ll look forward to it ^_^
