The object of the game is to successfully make it out of the city to join the resistance army in Chongqing while doing this as surreptitiously as possible. This means not drawing a lot of attention to yourself as you make your way through the city to reach the other side, where you will join other volunteers. Or at least that is what your character's intention is when the game begins. In the tradition of most RPGs, you will face choices along the way and you will eventually have to make decisions. Will you immediately head for the Safety Zone? When you meet civilians, will you try to help them? Will helping civilians keep you from reaching your goal? When you reach the Safety Zone, will you just rest, recover, and leave to join the army? Or will you extend your stay to help the missionaries who need your help at the Safety Zone?
