Embark on a (short) quest to learn about poetry! Take quizzes to test your knowledge. Pass all 7, and you may just unlock the bonus level... Update (1/28/23): Thank you all for playing and enjoying this game! When I made it for an English class as a tool to help other students, I never had any idea how much it would blow up. I'm glad it's been helpful to other students, or just people interested in learning more about the forms of poetry. Poetry is an incredible form of expression, and it's been cool to share my love of it with others. Happy playing! (oh yeah, and I removed the health and melee ability)
This is really cool!
Your attention to detail in the environments is really top-notch. Especially in the concrete poems section – I love the pictures! I really like your use of tokens for each quiz – that must have taken a while to work out! Also, I have my AP lit test in two days, so this was a really nice review!
Great work! I can’t wait to see the bonus level!
Thank you so much! I made it for my English class, but I’m glad it can help others as well! 😀
This is the best game I’ve played on this website. It was actually good!
Thank you so much!
most of the games on this website are bad…
Nice
The map is so beautiful! I’m so inspired! This is so amazing!!!
Thank you so much! I love it when I can inspire someone else. I’m currently working on a much larger game with a highly detailed map similar to this one, so stay tuned for that!
i could’ve left at any moment but i wanted to unlock the bonus level..
wait, no sorry, I don’t think that was fair, you probably just made it for like, older people than me…
I find the poems in the bonus level are really dull, and I can’t figure out what they meant, they also are really long…
Hello!
I actually have some backstory on why the bonus level is all Edgar Allen Poe-themed. So my English teacher (at the time, I made this two years ago) was and still is a huge fan of Edgar Allen Poe’s poetry and short stories. I made this game to help my class out with remembering different types of poems and such, so I thought I’d make the bonus level to honor my teacher. However, I understand Poe’s writing isn’t for everyone.
If you find the bonus level disappointing, I apologize! It may look a bit rushed, and that’s because it was. But, as for the poetry itself, know there’s a reason I put it there.
Thanks for your comment, and thank you Mr. Page for being a great English teacher!
