Long ago two races battled over the powers of the spirits that controlled the ancient magic, Spirit Magic. These races battled themselves out of existence. Now one sole survivor of those races accidentlly releases one of those ancient magicks, Shadow Spell. A spell that calls forth the darkness in one's heart and gives it god like powers to defeat whatever caused the person sadness. In Ichiro's case the whole world.
